 mpus on Tuesday\, Oct. 13\, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to help spotlight Marque
 tte University Police Department’s student emergency medical services un
 it . The helicopter will land on the green space in front of the Alumni Me
 morial Union and north of O’Brien Hall. Flight For Life is a Wisconsin-b
 ased critical care air medical transport program that provides rapid emerg
 ency transportation for patients experiencing serious illness or injury. F
 ounded in 1984\, the nonprofit organization operates medical helicopters a
 nd ground transport services across the state\, connecting patients with s
 pecialized care when time is critical. Flight For Life crews\, which inclu
 de specially trained flight nurses and paramedics\, respond to emergencies
  ranging from traumatic injuries to complex medical conditions\, serving a
 s a vital link between local communities and regional health care centers.
  MUPD’s student emergency medical services unit comprises Marquette stud
 ents that responds alongside MUPD officers on calls for service.
