Adaptations in Biofilms: From Clinics to Climate Change
About this event
Dr. Chris Marshall, associate professor of biological sciences in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, will present the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences’ colloquium on Friday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 401. Biofilms shape how microbes adapt, survive and evolve. Marshall’s talk, “Adaptations in Biofilms: From Clinics to Climate Change” will discuss how experimental evolution and bioinformatics can be used to study bacterial adaptation and antibiotic resistance in environmental and clinical contexts.
