OutMKE is a small, independently run site for Milwaukee events. This page describes what we collect and why, in plain language.

Browsing

You never need an account to browse OutMKE. If you save events without signing in, those saves live only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and we never see them.

Analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to see aggregate, cookieless page statistics like which pages get visited. It cannot identify you individually. We run no ads and use no third-party trackers.

If you create an account

Signing in is optional and lets you keep saved events across devices. When you sign in, we store the name, email address, and profile picture your sign-in provider shares with us, plus any content tied to your account as we add features (saved events, votes). The token your provider gives us is used only to confirm it's you signing in, nothing else.

Where it's stored

Everything is stored on a server we operate, in a database we control. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with anyone else.

Deleting your data

If you have an account, delete it yourself at /account/: press "Delete account" and confirm. This removes your profile, sign-in links, sessions, and account data right away. If you can no longer sign in, email us instead (see Contact below) and we'll delete it for you. Full step-by-step instructions live on the data deletion page.
